For Your Flora

While discussing details with your potential florist, ask questions and let them ask questions. Get on the same page about colors, flowers in season, deposits!

  1. First thing’s first, is this florist available for your chosen wedding date? If not, ask them if they can recommend someone.
  2. Will this florist be able to meet your needs and make your vision happen? Give an idea of expectations, and talk about the florist’s specialties.
  3. Look at samples of the florist’s work.
  4. What is the deposit and when is the balance due?
  5. Another important question—when is the balance due?
  6. Have they worked at your venue before? Suggest going to visit the site together to go over what you want and where you want things set up.
  7. Ask what flowers are in season, then about possible alternatives if needed.
  8. Will the arrangements be free for you or guests to take home?
  9. Are there additional fees for delivery, setup, pickup, and late-night pick up following a nighttime reception?
  10. What is the cancellation policy
