DIY Bridal Garters

Making your own garter is a great way to save a few bucks! With some lace, ribbon, elastic, two safety pins, a sewing machine, and a hot glue gun, a garter can be made in no time..

First, measure the elastic by wrapping it around your leg and cutting it where it is most comfortable. The lace and the ribbon should be twice as long as the elastic.

Glue or sew the edges of the ribbon on to the lace. Attach a safety pin to one end of the elastice and pull through the tunnel made from attaching the ribbon and lace together. This will cause a ruffling effect. Pin the safety pin to the end once you have pulled it through.

Pin the ends together with the other safety pin and stitch together to hold tightly. Add a small bow, a small fake flower, or even a bit of bling. There you go!
